Learn how physical book orders are processed, shipped, tracked, and supported from checkout through delivery.

At a glance

What customers should know

Destinations

Checkout should show whether shipping is available to the destination entered.

Processing

Orders may require preparation before they are transferred to a carrier.

Delivery

Transit times vary by destination, service, carrier, customs, and external conditions.

Tracking

Tracking is provided only when the selected shipping method supports it.

Shipping policy

How physical orders are handled

Replace provisional statements with the verified store and fulfillment rules before publication.

Shipping destinations

CDJ Books ships physical products only to destinations enabled in the store’s current shipping configuration.

Enter the complete delivery address during checkout to confirm whether service is available and which shipping methods may be offered.

A country, state, province, territory, military address, postal box, or remote region should not be described as supported unless the corresponding checkout route has been configured and tested.

Before publication

Replace this general wording with an accurate list or clear geographic statement once supported shipping zones are final.

Order processing and fulfillment

Processing is the period between order confirmation and the transfer of the parcel to the shipping carrier.

It may include payment review, stock confirmation, picking, packaging, labeling, and preparation for carrier collection.

Processing time is separate from carrier transit time. Weekends, public holidays, peak periods, preorders, personalized items, signed editions, large orders, or stock issues may affect fulfillment.

Publish a normal processing range only after the fulfillment team has demonstrated that it can meet that range reliably.

Shipping charges and methods

Shipping charges may depend on the destination, package weight, dimensions, order value, product type, carrier, and selected service.

The available method and charge should appear during checkout before the customer submits payment.

CDJ Books should not advertise free shipping, flat-rate shipping, expedited delivery, local pickup, or another method unless it is active and correctly configured.

Separate shipments may result in separate tracking numbers or delivery dates when the fulfillment workflow supports split shipments.

Delivery estimates

Any delivery window shown during checkout or after shipment is an estimate unless it is explicitly presented as a guaranteed carrier service.

Delivery may be affected by carrier operations, weather, customs, security inspections, public holidays, local disruptions, incorrect addresses, remote destinations, or other circumstances outside CDJ Books’ direct control.

Customers purchasing for a birthday, school program, event, or other deadline should allow additional time and avoid relying on an unguaranteed estimate.

Shipment tracking

When the selected service includes tracking, the customer may receive a shipping email containing a carrier link or tracking number.

Tracking information may also appear in the customer account when the WooCommerce and fulfillment integrations support it.

A tracking number may take time to show carrier movement after a label is created. Label creation does not always mean the parcel has already entered the carrier network.

Address accuracy and changes

Customers are responsible for entering a complete and accurate delivery address during checkout.

Review the recipient name, building or house number, street, apartment or unit, city, region, postal code, country, email, and telephone information where required.

Contact Customer Support immediately after discovering an address error. CDJ Books may be unable to change an address after fulfillment or carrier processing has begun.

Do not create a second order until support confirms whether the first order exists and whether it can be changed or canceled.

International orders, customs, and duties

International orders may be subject to customs review, import duties, taxes, brokerage charges, handling fees, or other destination-country requirements.

The checkout and shipping policy must clearly state whether duties and taxes are collected in advance or remain payable by the recipient.

Unless a duty-paid arrangement has been verified, do not state or imply that the checkout total includes all import charges.

Customs processing may delay delivery. CDJ Books cannot control a destination authority’s review process or the charges it may assess.

Customers are responsible for providing information required for lawful import and delivery, subject to the final store terms and applicable law.

Delayed, missing, damaged, or incorrect deliveries

Tracking has not updated

Allow for the carrier’s normal first-scan process. Contact support when the shipment remains inactive beyond the documented operational threshold.

The package is marked delivered but cannot be found

Check the delivery location, household members, building staff, nearby safe places, and carrier notes before reporting the parcel missing.

The package appears lost

Contact Customer Support with the order number and tracking details. CDJ Books may need to review the shipment or open a carrier inquiry before determining the available remedy.

The item arrived damaged

Keep the item and packaging. Provide the order number, a clear description, and photographs when requested.

The wrong item arrived

Report the ordered title, the received item, and the order number. Wait for instructions before returning anything.

The parcel was returned to sender

Support will review the carrier reason, address information, item condition, shipping charges, and applicable policy before confirming reshipment, refund, or another resolution.

Returned shipments

When a parcel comes back to the sender

A carrier may return a package because of an incomplete or incorrect address, failed delivery attempts, refusal, unpaid customs charges, an unclaimed shipment, or another delivery problem.

CDJ Books should review the carrier record and the applicable store policy before deciding whether the order can be reshipped, refunded, or otherwise resolved.

Additional shipping costs may apply when a new shipment is requested, depending on the reason for return and applicable law. This rule must be confirmed before publication.

Schools, libraries, and groups

Larger orders may require separate planning

Classroom sets, library orders, book-club orders, bundles, and larger quantities may require confirmation of stock, packaging, freight, destination, payment, and delivery expectations.

Contact CDJ Books before relying on standard consumer checkout for a time-sensitive or unusually large order.
